I’m back! Ha, as if I went anywhere. Sorry about not posting last week, guys. I wasn’t feeling it so I just slept till I couldn’t anymore.
I’m a bit late with this post as well but I had a busy day. We celebrated a family friend’s daughter’s birthday so I spent some time with the people because socialising is a thing apparently.
As I said a while ago that the last 2 weeks would be a bit of a battle. We’re almost done. Let’s hope tomorrow goes well and then..I wait. I have some hopefully good news to bring but I don’t want to jump the gun because I’m a big believer in jinxes and karma. Also, it’s never good to put the cart before the horse.
I wrote a bit! This is good news. I couldn’t sleep one night- what else is knew?- so I got up and wrote almost an entire plot of this new idea that has been floating around my head for a while. I hope something comes from that because I sense cute and fluffy which I think I need right now. Too much drama and stress is now a thing of the past.
Reading slumps, reading slumps. I started The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson in the week and it’s…well, I don’t want to say boring but I can’t keep my mind on it. It almost put me in a reading slump and I read The Ersatz Elevator by Lemony Snicket hoping that would work but it didn’t. I’m now about to finish Third Time Lucky by Meg Cabot. I’m not going to dnf The Sky Is Everywhere but it’s going to be a while before I finish it.
On the review front: my review for Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas just went up (see here). I’m still thinking of donating this series one day. I love Rowan but not enough to hold on to all these books for no reason except that they look pretty. I am looking forward to continuing the series though.
These last 2 weeks have been trying but I survived. Thank God for that. Seriously. Here’s to tomorrow. I’m sure everything will go well.
Thanks for tuning in,
