eARC Book Review: No Port to Land (Law and Crucible Saga #1) by Ioana Visan

Goodreads Synopsis

Nia is one of the few souls left aboard a drifting tomb known as The Pacific. The spaceship carries a deadly plague, and by the time they receive a distress call from an approaching shuttle, they are all close to losing hope they might ever escape alive. When the will of the shuttle crew and that of the survivors on The Pacific clash, Nia has to pick a side to save what she holds most dear.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

No Port to Land focuses on Nia and the peoples’ struggle to survive on a cruise ship – The Pacific– floating around space that is plagued with a deadly disease. This is a short story and the author describes it as a Space Opera.

Nia meets Law, a Captain of a crew that comes aboard The Pacific but they end up being prisoners, although that’s not so obvious because they’re basically ‘free’. Once you board the ship, you don’t leave.

I felt that this book opened up the pathways wherein so many things could happen. I wished it could have been longer so that I could’ve learnt more.

I liked this story quite a bit and I’m certainly intrigued. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
