Book Review: February 29th by Frank McCaughey

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

‘Once in four, February is cursed with one day more. Open the door and you will find what was once is no more.’

When I first started this book I thought it was slow and was reminded quite often that Jimmy and Frank were 12 year old boys. As the book progresses you find out just how weird or different the neighbours are, especially Mr. Blake. I had no idea what the book was about and didn’t know where it would take me. This book is unpredictable, and that is what I liked about it.

“The universe is infinite because it is not bound by size. Life is limitless because it is not bound by time. In the scheme of life this is not so amazing. But if you haven’t seen that much then it is. For living beings bound by time, it is extremely powerful.”

Time doesn’t exist. There’s only now and then. Here and there. I loved how the author took you around all these bends that in the end had to end up somewhere.
